Grandpa is on the Iowa Corn Promotion Board - who sponsored the race - so he got me box seats where it wasn't so loud. THANK YOU GRANDPA!!
6.23.07 Qualifying
We are off to the races!!!!

We watched a little of the qualifying. Those cars go FAST!!!
That evening we went to the corn growers tent & had supper. We got to meet Jeff Simmons - the driver of the Ethanol car. I got his autograph. Next time I'll get Danica's - & ask her if she wants to go out sometime (she can drive.)
6.24.07 RACE DAY

The Tuttles unvailed the "bike" they made - it runs on ethanol. I got to see it up close & it is pretty cool.
Me & mom watching the race. Rusty Wallace was in the room next to us - we could see him through the glass. He designed the track.

Dario Franchitti won the race!! Did you know he is married to Ashley Judd? I am going to be a race car driver when I grow up:)
