Mom's cousin came up from AZ to visit for a few days.

While she was getting ready she put "jelly" in my hair :)

Dad is down in Ames for the week because of this masters program. So Mom & I took the Fishers up on there offer to go see a movie with them - wish you could have been there too Dad.

The 1st movie I got to see in a theater was UP. It was pretty cool!!! & I made it through most of it :)

I had to stretch my legs after sitting so long - so Mom & I went to Oneota & I ran across the bridge a thousand times. It was an awesome evening!!


You can even see the water go under the bridge through the cracks :)

The perfect end to my night out - we stopped at Dairy Queen!! Fishers met us after the movie. Mom says the best way to contain 5 children is to stick them in the back of a truck!! Check out my dance moves :)

SIOUX FALLS ZOO

Mom & Jes were talking yesterday - & since Mom didn't have anyone lined up to watch me today - we got to go to the ZOO!!!

I did not walk around the zoo - I RAN!

FAT CATERPILLAR

Mom found a caterpillar at Gramp Ervin's today - so she kept it in a coffee container for me to see. As soon as I saw him I started calling him "Fat Caterpillar." Many of you have probably read The Very Hungry Caterpillar - one of my favorite books!!

I took him everywhere - we went to the garden to get him some fresh leaves to eat.

I gave him some lettuce, bean & tomato leaves - & a stick!

There he is in his happy new home :)

(Fat Caterpillar slept on my dresser that night. In the morning I said "Wake up Fat Caterpillar!!" & I also read him Goodnight Moon - I showed him the pictures, that is the best part.)

I will keep you posted as to when he turns into a butterfly!!! Mom says he will probably be a hawk moth - that sounds cool too :)

BULLY BULLHEAD PARADE

I went to my first parade today!! I saw all sorts of cool stuff - fire trucks, horses....

That is me with Emily. The Schany girls met us there - Rachel stayed home to take a nap though :(

I did figure out the whole candy thing - I got a pretty good bag full too :)

I actually took a nap on the boat today. I think I was worn out after my busy day yesterday. (I do wear my life jacket ALL the time - Mom & Dad let me take it off when I laid down.)

4TH OF JULY

We had a busy 4th even though the weather wasn't the best. First, we went to a park for lunch with the Essick side - Chloe & Bella were back too!! Then, Mom, Dad & I went for a bike ride around Lost Island - thanks for letting us try out your bike trailer Aunt Kristi & Uncle Brian!! Then, we had supper with the Harves side - Uncle Allen was home!! Finally, we went to the fireworks back at Lost Island - Mom said I didn't blink once. They put on a pretty good display there!! I fell asleep about 2 miles down the road :) (Mom was really slacken with the pictures!!)

I got to go to the Iowa Corn Indy 250 for the 3rd year!!! Grampa Richard got us tickets again for being on the Iowa Corn Promotion board - THANKS Gramp!!!!

I am totally into engines right now!!! Check out that one - it is from a NASCAR car!

We went to the Flagfest air show!!!!

Of course, I had to check out the beans along the runway - the stand was just OK & they have some weed pressure :)
