I have to show you my chef/grilling skills :)

First I cleaned the beans & broke them into little pieces (they came out of our garden - yum)....

Then I placed them on the foil - they are ready to grill!!

Check these out - Dad & Mom made kabobs with bacon wrapped scallops, shrimp, mushrooms, onion, pepper, & pineapple!!!!!

You gotta see these things!!  Let's go grill Dad!!!!

When Dad grills - I grill :)  I use the little one!  

By the way, the food was delicious!!!

For the 4th of July we spent the afternoon/evening up at the lakes. We rode bikes for awhile. Put the boat on the water & went over to the park to watch the free concert at the green space. & then we rode around on boat & watched the fireworks. That's all! :) It was a fun day!

As it got later there were people EVERYWHERE!!!

Sorry - no cool fireworks pictures. Mom held me on the boat & I fell asleep during the fireworks :)

X-MAS TREE - IN JULY

Dad & Mom decided to do a little landscaping project today. When we went shopping for a few plants I had my heart set on a "Christmas Tree" :) They let me pick one out!!!!

It was a fun day! I got to play with dirt & water - SWEET!!

OLIVES

I LOVE to help in the kitchen!! Today I got to help Mom make olive dip/spread (she is addicted to it).

Watch out for the OLIVE HAND!!!!!!!!!

ISU TAILGATE TOUR

Some of the ISU coaches & players came up to Arnolds Park for kinda a kickoff tour - & it was all free!!

OK - I didn't REALLY get to go out on the field or run with the team. But it was still fun :)
(They had a green screen you stood in front of to take your picture & put you in a background of choice.)

This is REAL though - I got to meet the CHEERLEADERS!!!!! They thought I was cute :)

The best part - they brought inflatable slides to play on!!!!

Since it was such a great evening we decided at the last minute to meet the girls at Lost Island to grill some hot dogs & go for a boat ride. We got to break in the tube :)

MEMORIAL DAY

We went up to the Dickens cemetery this morning for Memorial Day.

I got to help put flowers out for the soldiers.

Taking a break - my Great Great Gram & Gramp Liddie & Fred probably don't mind. Would have been neat to meet them - he used to farm with horses!!

Tonight we meet the Crew family for supper up at the lakes & went for a little boat ride. It was a beautiful night & a great time :)
